01. Pania - P Stands For Playa

PANIA gives you a fair warning on her latest drop P Pack, featuring ‘P STANDS 4 PLAYA’. Unmatched and uncompromising, the Melbourne artist brings a mixture of classic soul and modern R&B to the vocals, complimented by HAMLEY’s production. This track is her “if you don’t know, now you know” moment, and it’s sick to see P constantly fuel her innate ability to craft banger after banger. If you’ve listened to her fiery debut EP burnt ur clothes & changed the addy, expect to experience the fallout of it all on this new record.

02. Nooky - We Are Warriors ft. Mi-kaisha

Yuin rapper Nooky relinquishes his truth on ‘We Are Warriors’, released on Jan 26, accompanying his Blak Powerhouse event celebrating First Nations voices and creativity. On the track, Nooky dissects topics of oppression and systemic racism with his gut-punching bars and emotive delivery, shedding light on the need to break the cycle and move forward with strength. Mi-kaisha brings an impactful vocal offering with empowering lyrics and spellbinding harmonies. It’s inspiring to see First Nations artists like Nooky and Mi-kaisha delivering such powerful music and bringing an important message to the forefront.

03. Ice Spice - Princess Diana

Ice Spice swaps out the drill for the chaotic uptempo head-bop of ‘Princess Diana’. Her raspy voice and braggadocious bars are as smooth as ever atop a simple but hard-hitting trap beat booming in the background, pushing the New York rapper’s undeniable to swagger to the forefront of the mix. It’s a highlight on her new EP Like..?, which is popping off everywhere. Gra!

04. ASM Keeno - CHIN UP

‘CHIN UP’ serves as a great introduction to Sydney’s ASM Keeno. It’s punctuated by thumping sub bass and bouncy snares as Keeno sings his heart out, warbling about giving his all on a quest for romance. It’s a soulful, late-night R&B cut and we’re heaps down to hear s more.

05. The Kid LAROI - Love Again

Love Again’ instantly stands out as one of those sing-a-long arena pop anthems. An acoustic guitar strums, as The Kid LAROI passionately sings about the turmoil found in relationships. It’s another taster of his upcoming album The First Time, which without a doubt will land in a massive way. LAROI has also announced this week that he’ll will join the likes of Travis Scott, Ariana Grande and J Balvin in getting his own Fortnite player experience called ‘The Kid LAROI’s Wild Dreams’ out January 28, where players jump into an immersive experience portraying LAROI’s journey from humble beginnings to headlining sold-out performances as a worldwide superstar. Madness!

06. 1300 - Steve Jobs ft. Kwame

1300 and Kwame travel through the matrix on their latest collaboration ‘Steve Jobs’. The production carries the same energy as beating the final boss in a video game, or racing to the finish line on that final lap on Mario Kart – it’s exciting, adrenaline-induced and keeps you on edge. Both 1300 and Kwame are hyperactive acts, and so when melded together, the result might just be the perfect crowd thumper. Get hype, it’s bound to be a big year for both parties.

07. Slowthai - Selfish

Slowthai’s ‘Selfish’ is an exploration of self-reflection. It finds the multi-faceted rapper gnawing at his inner thoughts, breaking down the anxieties found within trying to balance self-growth and caring for others. He expresses this through the grimy rasp of his delivery, soundtracked by blasting drums and bass of punk-infused production. It’s a perfect tone-setter for his forthcoming studio album UGLY, dropping March 3rd.

08. Skrillex - Real Spring ft. Bladee

Bladee and Skrillex is a collaboration that just makes sense. The bubbly, festival-ready festival arrangements orchestrated by the Dubstep legend perfectly match the quirky autotuned vocals of the Swedish artist’s drained duality. Of course, it culminates in a massive drop, encapsulating the feeling of both a sweaty nightclub, and a laser tag shootout.

09. Youngn Lipz x Hooligan Hefs - Rolling Loud

The catchiness of ‘Rolling Loud’ lies within the contrasting styles of this collaboration. Youngn Lipz’ smooth melodies control the hook and pop off on the second verse, juxtaposed by the gritty flows of Hooligan Hefs. The duo is propelled by club-ready drum patterns and atmospheric synths, making this one an automatic earworm.

010. Cochise - LONG WAY

Cochise kills it every time with his trappy-go-lucky approach to music. ‘LONG WAY’ is a celebration of his grassroots rise, which he commemorates through a variety of machine gun-like flows and a mixed-bag of vocal inflections. The Lousho-produced beat loops a dreamy synth and bellowing 808s, smashing in with a smile-inducing sound.
